MachIne Learning (ML)

This is one of the important things everyone (or almost everyone) is talking about. Let me see if I can explain it to you:

The usual way to operate a computer is to give it data, and the code to process that data. The   Computer then goes to work on the data and outputs the result. Two inputs (data and code) and one output. Got that?

For ML, the computer also gets two inputs: a one containing input data and other containing the desired output from processing that input. The Computer gets the input data, and output data both, then figures out, for itself, how the input produces the output.

This leaves one question on everyone's mind. How does it do this? The answer is:

If you format the input in a certain way then process it in a certain way - it works!

This what you learn when you take a course like this and then get the big bucks ($200 K a year) for knowing how to do this.
