The Destructive Frame of Mind

Perhaps I should call this - My Miserable Life. But that would get few readers. Who wants to know about someone else's misery? Only therapists, who hear about this all the time.

The correct response is "Stop whining, and get happy! If you cannot do this, wreck everything!" The first statement is a conscious response - the second is unconscious, but more powerful, because few are aware of it.

They know something is wrong - but the reasons they have for this (and there are many of them) are all wrong. They will not admit things are in bad shape - because they have made them that way.

They have come up with the perfect solution (for them) - they are not aware of what is going on. And accept no responsibility for that.

The church I grew up in, put this nicely "Be in the world - but not of it!" A recipe for failure - that they embraced wholeheartedly.

Most of the people in the world have failed, but the world still goes on. Because some of them have succeeded - and succeeded very well.

Seeing the failures is easy enough - but seeing the successes is not easy. They are well-disguised, and you have to be sharp to pick them out.
