This has many effects, good and bad. We are pleased with the good but overlook the bad.
My objective, in writing this. is to clarify the bad effects.
Basically, this is simple: our values get confused. There are so many of them we settle for the simplest ones, that are usually defective, ethically. People want things to be simple.
This is why we are in such bad shape. Good thinking takes some careful thought, it is hard work. And most people would rather not do it.
They have to consider many factors, that interact with each other.
I am taking a course now, from DAPP University, that is explaining Facebook's Libra cryptocurrency and blockchain. The basics are simple, but there are a huge number of variables.
Is this a problem? Not really, all living beings contain immense numbers of interacting and evolving variables. Changes that work are kept, and those that don't are forgotten.
The designers of Libra know it is an experiment. and they expect some substantial changes.
