This complex behavior is especially noticeable in his Banking.
Finding a house run by an American was a lucky break for me. But he was not entirely American: he was partly American and partly Tico, with little awareness of the difference.
I could see this in the banking he does in Costa Rica (where we live) and the banking he does in Kentucky (where he is from).
Two people in one body, but two banks.
