This is one theme I keep harping on - our incredible stupidity, or incompetence. And our inability to notice this. Bringing this up, will not make me many friends - but I have to do it anyway, like a stuck record.
There are plenty of people, talking about plenty of problems - but almost no one talking about the Big Problem. It seems to be too big for most people to get their head around. They know they are part of the smartest species ever - and they cannot fathom how they could have lost it completely.
I cannot understand it myself - I just know it happened. And it was the biggest disaster ever.
Everyone (or almost everyone) noticed that they were supposed to be stupid - so they became stupid.
