People Like to Be Bad

Generally, this is balanced by the fact that they also like to be good. But at different times, they are predominantly one or the other. Or, more commonly, strange mixtures of both.

When they are good, they are aware of this. And when they are bad, as individuals, they are aware of this also.

But when they are bad, as a group - they are often not aware of this. This is a part of human nature, they do not want to know about. But which I am writing about this morning.

This is not a new subject, it has been discussed endlessly, for as long as people could talk, or write. But the events coinciding with the Scientific Revolution, and the Industrial Revolution - have show how evil people can be.

This has also shown how good they can be. But the dark side was truly troubling. The more thoughtful of us, decided we should learn from this lesson - so it wouldn't happen again.

And, indeed, it has not happened again. There are no longer World Wars - but many smaller ones. Just as devastating, for the people involved.

But I want to write about something else, this morning - about America, where I came from, but which I had to leave. Americans have become antisocial - they do not like people. But, as I said before - they are not aware of this!

They are no longer killing each other, in vast quantities - but the amount of hatred they experience everyday - has a huge effect on their mental health, and their medical health. A primary source of death, is now suicide! People decide they want out, and they get out.

The majority of them, however - adapt to their circumstances, and become antisocial. Without being aware of this.

They elected Trump, for example, without knowing why they elected him. And no desire to know why.

Much has been written about the inadequacies of Trump (something easy to do) - but little about the people who elected him (something much harder to do).
