I'm back on this subject again. I think it is important, especially since no one else does.
Part of the reason for this, must be that the subject is new, and people ask "How can a person not be?" The question, for them - makes no sense.
I must explain what I am talking about - which necessarily goes into the subject of being. Something most people are not used to thinking about - and don't want to think about. But philosophers have been thinking about for a very long time.
Most people will say "I don't want to think about it!" And this statement is as strong, as they can possibly make it. They are not saying "That is a subject I am not interested in." They are saying "Nothing on earth, will make me think about that!"
Because they know, they are not supposed to think (about anything) and they are obeying orders - including the order, to not notice they are refusing to think.
This, I think - puts the question in its proper context. If one thing more is added - the existence of mass culture. Something so pervasive, it was not noticed - until recently, when advertising on the Internet, brought it to our attention.
The social media (Facebook and Twitter) have obtained vast power, because they are able to analyze the behavior of people, on the Net (using AI) and then use this information to control them. Every time someone uses their Phone (a miniature computer), this software is watching them - and learning what they are like.
What they are like, is a new form of being (more like robots) - than human beings.
